In this installation, the artist creates a checkerboard using a 'Western object ' (a doormat) and maps of the Middle East.
On the threshold, by the doorway this welcoming object that separates public space from private space can be found.
In Israel and Palestine, this public / private distinction does not exist and for the monotheists of the entire world this place is also like "their home".
The issue of separation and borders here questions the complex relationship between the Western World and the Middle East
