The two photos, taken in the Judean desert, refer to the biblical episode of Noah’s Ark. Here the artist places animal figurines on the map of Israel, but they cannot avoid the flood by gaining the Ark supposed to save them.
The artist sees Israeli society, her host, as many-facetted, inward-looking and cut off from the rest of the world, unable to get to grips with the tempestuous political and territorial problems that affect it.

Les deux photographies réalisées dans le désert de Judée font référence à l’épisode biblique de l’arche de Noé.
Ici, l’artiste place des figurines d’animaux sur une carte d’Israël, mais ils ne parviennent pas à éviter le déluge en rejoignant l’arche censée les sauver des eaux.
L’artiste perçoit la société israélienne qui l’accueille comme plurielle, isolée du reste du monde, ne parvenant pas à se sortir indemne des tempêtes politico-territoriales qui la traversent.
