Works reserved for a museum space
A cartography of the absurd, Abstract Resolution sheds light on the intertwined stories of a disputed territory from singular places doomed to disappear.
From photographs of these places, the artist awakes deeply buried memories, outlining the contours of twelve abandoned houses from the superposition of different geographical maps of the Israeli-Palestinian region.
Then for each of them, the artist creates a progressive fragmentation into twelve images until it is almost erased: the initial form gradually gives way to an increasingly abstract form, thus projecting through this work the gradual disappearance of these places and their stories over time.
