Eaux Man's Land ,2017
Installation
In this installation, the artist evokes the situation of exiles who "fail" at the gates of Europe by crossing the Mediterranean, which has become an immense cemetery.
From colored plastic bags (known as "Tati bags"), used mainly by African migrants exiled in Europe, the artist manufactures child-like boats which she superimposes on transparent crystal canvas.
The idea of making boats of simplistic shape and different sizes with these bags, refers to the precariousness of the boats used by the exiles, ready to do anything to survive.
The Wave created by the superposition of the transparent canvas gives a movement and depth to the work in which the artist allows us to imagine the boats both buried under the sea and those who arrive as best we can to cross the gates of Europe.

Installation
Dans cette installation, l’artiste évoque la situation des exilés venant « s ‘échouer » aux portes de l’Europe en traversant la méditerranée, devenu un immense cimetière.
A partir de Sacs plastiques colorés ( dits « sacs Tati »), utilisés principalement par les migrants d’Afrique exilés en Europe, l’artiste fabrique des bateaux de type enfantin qu’elle superpose sur de la toile cristal transparente.
L’idée de fabriquer des bateaux de forme simpliste et de différentes tailles avec ces sacs, renvoit à la précarité des embarcations utilisées par les exilés, prêt à tout pour survivre.
La Vague créée par la superposition de la toile transparente donne un mouvement et une profondeur à l’œuvre dans laquelle l’artiste nous laisse imaginer les bateaux à la fois enfouis sous la mer et ceux qui arrivent tant bien que mal à franchir les portes de l’Europe.
